Welcome to the Blackdown Hills Riding Club Website
Welcome to the Blackdown Hills Website which is currently being improved.
We are a small and friendly club that aims to promote events that enable riders of all abilities and disciplines to both learn and have fun, whilst offering the opportunity for members to share equestrian experiences with other riders.
The Blackdown Hills riding club is affiliated to the British Horse Society and is one of the riding clubs within British Riding Clubs Area 12.
Teams and individuals can compete in various events that take place
throughout the year with many reaching the finals.
We welcome new members to our club,

Congratulations to two of our Riding Club
members who were both placed at the British Dressage Regional
Championships held at Kingston Maurward in February 2009.
Ginny Whales 10th Novice restricted on Villeneuve
Ginny has also qualified for the South West Regional Riding Club
Dressage Championships to be held at Stockland Manor in October
on Villeneuve in the Novice Dressage winning 1st at Wellbeck on
8th Narch.
Well done Ginny and we wish her good luck for the championships,
let us know how you get on.
Rebecca Eccles 10th medium Restricted on Stafford Salamander
Rebecca and Stafford Salamander have also qualified for the
Petplan Championships in Medium restricted to be held at the
National BD Championships in Hartpury College from 8th - 12th
April 2009 we all wish her the best of luck, and there will be
an update shortly.
Rebecca and Stafford Salamander have also qualified for the
BadmintonHigh Performance Dressage Chapionships 16th July 2009
The Riding Club will be sending a team to compete in the Riding
Club Championships at Badminton again this year, and Rebecca is
hoping to retain her title as individual riding club champion
following her win at Badminton 2008.
These are just a couple of our members results and news I know a
lot of you have been out and about and with the BE competitions
now in full flow I look forward to hearing from you.
